I shoot a lot of products for Ridge, but the damascus is kind of my go to. From a distance, it's not too bold as the engraved design blends in nicely with the rest of the plate. But up close the details are super clean and make quite the impact. The damascus is a little heavier than the other wallets, but still fits comfortable in my pocket and I honestly like how substantial it is. My other go-to wallet is the forged carbon, which is way lighter.

Have carried a Forged Carbon wallet for nearly two years. Expected it to wear out so I could justify trying something different, but it still looks brand new. On a whim, purchased the Damascus wallet as a change of pace and could not be more pleased. While the Forged Carbon is extremely sleek and light weight, the Damascus is beautifully textured and has a truly premium feel. Keeping the Forged Carbon around for outdoor trips and casual activities, but switching to the Damascus for nights out and formal events. To those wondering “is it worth it” for something that isn’t Damascus steel, the answer is absolutely. As a knife collector, I love authentic Damascus steel, but hate the maintenance. This is a wallet (not a blade needing to retain an edge) that offers all the visual and tactile appeal without the hassle of oiling and care. Just use it, enjoy it...and be prepared for compliments from intrigued strangers.

Over 3 months in, I’ve been stoked about everything about this wallet the entire time. (1) I have had absolutely zero issue while using this wallet. None of the screws have backed or fallen out, none of my cards have worked their way out at all, the elastic straps provide excellent and appropriate retention for the cards, it’s easy to use; everything is bang on. (2) It is solid, providing much desired stability and protection to my ID’s and cards. The wallet doesn’t flex under realistic conditions. (3) The finish looks as good in person as it does on the website, really. The engraving detail is super clean and feels excellent. The texture of the engraving is appealing as it provides a comfortable grip surface while reaching for the wallet in a deep pocket and manipulating it while in use. That texture also has not damaged any of my pockets, and I carry this wallet in my front right pocket every single day, all day long. (4) The materials used to make the wallet are solid quality. I build steel canopies, wearing a full body harness with belt-worn tool bags that regularly tote screws, nuts and bolts, spud wrenches, impact wrenches, screw guns, etc. I bump into things, jump in and out of lifts, climb on and off of roofs, etc, and the wallet shows virtually no sign of wear and tear. The finish is free of dents, dings, scratches, gouges, etc, despite the abuse my average work pants show. (5) Using the wallet is so easy. At first I thought it might be meticulous and annoying trying to dig a card out when I first imagined buying and using the product. Once I received it in the mail (great shipping time; about a week and a half or so), watched a review video showing an effective way to spread the cards in the wallet like an accordion, and got familiar with the feel of the process, I easily became proficient with selecting and replacing a specific card while maintaining organization. I usually carry about seven cards and access any of them without difficulty. (6) I wanted a solid, simple, long lasting minimalist wallet I could have confidence in using and carrying every day, and I have no doubts in this wallet being a product that fits my criterium to the T. I also have no regrets about choosing this wallet over the many, many others I researched online. I’m a pretty picky dude when it comes to certain things, and the items I carry every day that I depend on to function how I want and need them to is a big deal to me. The Ridge has designed and is making a great product, and I would be stoked to buy another wallet from them.
