Chances are, you've heard of The Ridge all over the place. For that reason, I kinda figured they were "all advertising, no substance" like many notable Internet product names. Welp, that's about as far from reality as possible. The wallets they make are exceptionally high quality. I've always loved the look of Damascus steel, so when I saw they made a wallet with this style, I had to jump on it. The solid metal construction feels very hefty, and I have no doubt it'll last forever.
Just be aware that this is...a metal wallet. If you're like me and place your wallet in your back pocket, it can be uncomfortable to sit directly on it when you're, say, driving. However, the very small form factor means it's really easy to just nudge it around a bit so your butt isn't sitting right on it. :)
I use the money clip, and it grips REALLY well. I keep my driver's license and a few bills clipped on the back. It's not an appropriate clip for 20 bills and multiple cards. In general, The Ridge wallets try to move you towards keeping as few cards and junk as possible. Once I took a hard look at my cards and how many bills I felt I REALLY needed to keep with me, I was able to pare everything down quite bit. Now everything fits really neatly in a compact, solid metal form factor. Love it.
(In no way was I paid or rewarded for this review... I don't roll that way. It's just a good product.)
