RIDGE® CURB CHAIN & CURB BRACELET
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS & SAFETY INFORMATION

At Ridge, we prioritize quality, safety, and functionality in every product we design. Curb chains are one of the most enduring silhouettes in jewelry, defined by flat, interlocking links that sit cleanly against the skin, catch light with precision, and work with anything you wear. The Ridge Curb Chain and Ridge Curb Bracelet bring that timeless design together with materials built for everyday life and finished to last. Whether worn alone or layered, both pieces are made to be put on and kept on.

Please read the following instructions and safety guidelines carefully before using this product. Failure to follow these instructions could result in injury or damage to the product.

Instructions for Use

Sizing — Ridge Curb Chain: The Ridge 5mm Curb Chain is available in 20 inch and 22 inch lengths. To find your preferred length, wrap a flexible measuring tape or a piece of string around your neck and let it fall to your desired position. A 20 inch chain typically sits at or just below the collarbone; a 22 inch chain falls slightly lower on the chest. Body type and torso length will affect how each length sits. If you are between preferences, size up for a more relaxed look or size down for a closer fit.

Sizing — Ridge Curb Bracelet: The Ridge 6mm Curb Bracelet is available in two sizes: 8 inch (Medium) and 8.5 inch (Large). To find your size, wrap a flexible measuring tape or a strip of paper snugly around your wrist just below the wrist bone. Note the measurement and add approximately 0.5 inch for a comfortable fit. A wrist measurement of up to 7.5 inches typically corresponds to Medium; a wrist measurement above 7.5 inches typically corresponds to Large. If you prefer a looser fit, size up.

Clasp Operation: To put on the Ridge Curb Chain or Ridge Curb Bracelet, hold the clasp steady and use the rounded opening to engage the closure. Ensure the clasp is fully secured before wearing. To remove, hold the clasp steady and use the rounded opening to release the closure. The Ridge Secure Clasp is designed to open from one side only. Do not force it from the opposite side, as this may damage the mechanism.

Personal Care Products: Apply perfume, lotion, sunscreen, hairspray, or other products before putting on your Ridge Curb Chain or Ridge Curb Bracelet. Allowing these products to dry or absorb into the skin before wearing your chain or bracelet helps minimize direct contact with the finish and extend its appearance over time.

Layering: Both the Ridge Curb Chain and Ridge Curb Bracelet are designed to be worn alone or layered with other jewelry. When layering chains, choose lengths that differ by at least 2 inches to prevent tangling and create visual separation.

Physical Activities: Remove your Ridge Curb Chain or Ridge Curb Bracelet before contact sports, weightlifting, manual labor, or other high-impact activities. Impact, abrasion, or snagging during activity poses a risk of injury and may damage the chain or bracelet. We also recommend removing your chain or bracelet before sleeping. See Safety Guidelines for more information.

Water Exposure: The Ridge Curb Chain and Ridge Curb Bracelet are water-resistant but not designed for prolonged submersion. Remove your Ridge Curb Chain or Ridge Curb Bracelet before swimming in pools, hot tubs, or the ocean, as prolonged exposure to chlorinated water and saltwater can degrade the PVD coating on Platinum and 18K Gold finishes over time. Brief exposure to water such as handwashing or light rain is generally safe for all finishes; rinse and dry thoroughly afterward.

Extended Wear and Skin Care: Periodically check the skin beneath your Ridge Curb Chain or Ridge Curb Bracelet for redness, irritation, or discomfort. If any of these occur, remove your chain or bracelet and allow the area to recover before wearing again. Persistent irritation should be evaluated by a physician. Always ensure your chain or bracelet is fully dry before returning it to the Ridge Travel Case to prevent moisture buildup.

Storage: When not in use, store your Ridge Curb Chain or Ridge Curb Bracelet in the included Ridge Travel Case. Keep the case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. Store the chain or bracelet separately from other jewelry to prevent scratching. While the PVD coating on Platinum and 18K Gold Ridge Curb Chain and Ridge Curb Bracelet provides scratch resistance, it is not scratch-proof, and the Titanium Ridge Curb Chain and Ridge Curb Bracelet, though highly scratch-resistant, are not immune to surface marks under impact.

Safety Guidelines

Child and Vulnerable Person Safety Warning: The Ridge Curb Chain and Ridge Curb Bracelet are not intended for use by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities. This product is intended for adults 18 years of age or older. Keep out of reach of children and vulnerable persons. Small components, including the clasp and links, are a choking hazard. Chains pose an additional risk of entanglement and strangulation if worn by or near children or persons who cannot safely manage or remove the jewelry. Adult supervision is required when worn or handled near children or vulnerable persons.

Intended Use: The Ridge Curb Chain is designed to be worn as a necklace. The Ridge Curb Bracelet is designed to be worn on the wrist. Both are intended for everyday decorative wear by adults. They are not tools, functional devices, or safety equipment. Any use outside of normal decorative wear is outside the intended use of these products and may result in injury or damage to the product.

Damage & Misuse: Do not use your Ridge Curb Chain or Ridge Curb Bracelet if it shows signs of damage, deformation, or wear that may affect its integrity or safety. Do not use the chain or bracelet as a tool, handle, tether, restraint, or for any purpose other than decorative wear. Do not pull, yank, or apply excessive force to the chain or bracelet. Misuse may result in injury or damage to the product and may void the warranty. Contact Ridge Support if you have any concerns about your product.

Disassembly & Modifications: Do not attempt to disassemble, modify, or alter the Ridge Curb Chain or Ridge Curb Bracelet beyond what is described in these instructions. Do not attempt to resize, add links, remove links, or alter the clasp. Unauthorized modifications may compromise structural integrity, create sharp edges or pinch points, and may void the warranty. Contact Ridge Support for assistance.

Small Parts: The Ridge Curb Chain and Ridge Curb Bracelet contain small parts including the clasp and individual links. If any component is swallowed or ingested, seek immediate medical attention. Do not allow children or vulnerable persons to handle individual components. If a link or clasp becomes detached, discontinue use and contact Ridge Support.

Remove Before Sleeping: Remove your Ridge Curb Chain or Ridge Curb Bracelet before sleeping. A chain that becomes entangled in hair, pillowcases, or bedding during sleep may tighten around the neck or wrist, posing a risk of injury. Entanglement may also weaken the clasp or cause links to break. Prolonged contact with skin during sleep may cause irritation.

Entanglement Hazard: Do not wear your Ridge Curb Chain or Ridge Curb Bracelet around machinery, tools, or other equipment where the chain could become snagged or caught, which may result in injury.

Electrical Conductivity: The Ridge Curb Chain and Ridge Curb Bracelet are made from metal and conduct electricity. Remove both before performing any electrical work, including tasks involving live wires, electrical panels, or powered equipment.

Medical Situations: Metal jewelry is not compatible with MRI machines and must be removed before any MRI procedure. Inform medical staff that you are wearing metal jewelry before any medical procedure or imaging.

Emergency Removal: In an emergency where the Ridge Curb Chain or Ridge Curb Bracelet cannot be removed by normal means, inform emergency personnel that the product is made from metal: either 316L stainless steel or Grade 1 titanium. Standard jewelry cutting tools may be effective on 316L stainless steel. Grade 1 titanium is significantly harder and may require specialized cutting equipment. If you anticipate difficulty removing the chain or bracelet due to swelling, injury, or other medical conditions, consult a physician before wearing.

Chain and Clasp Inspection: Before each wear, inspect your Ridge Curb Chain or Ridge Curb Bracelet for signs of damage, including broken, bent, or deformed links that may have created sharp edges capable of causing skin injury, snagging on clothing or other materials, or scratching surfaces. Inspect the Ridge Secure Clasp regularly for signs of wear or damage. A weakened or damaged clasp may open unexpectedly and result in loss of the product. If the clasp does not close or open smoothly, or if any component shows signs of damage, discontinue use and contact Ridge Support. Do not attempt to repair the chain, bracelet, or clasp. Unauthorized repairs may create sharp edges, structural failure, or other hazards.

Temperature Sensitivity: Metal conducts heat and cold. A Ridge Curb Chain or Ridge Curb Bracelet left in direct sunlight, a hot vehicle, or other high-heat environments may become hot enough to cause burns or skin injury upon contact. Prolonged UV exposure may also cause localized heat buildup under the jewelry against the skin and may affect the finish over time. Allow the jewelry to return to a comfortable temperature before wearing. In cold conditions, metal may cause discomfort or brief skin irritation upon contact. Allow the jewelry to warm to a comfortable temperature before wearing.

Sharp Objects: Use caution when working with sharp tools, blades, or abrasive surfaces while wearing your Ridge Curb Chain or Ridge Curb Bracelet. Sharp objects or abrasive surfaces may scratch the finish or damage the links and clasp, creating edges that could cause skin injury. A snagged chain or bracelet may also be pulled suddenly against the neck or wrist, resulting in lacerations, impact injury, or clasp failure.

Chemical Exposure: Do not expose your Ridge Curb Chain or Ridge Curb Bracelet to bleach, ammonia, chlorine, harsh cleaning agents, or abrasive chemicals. These can damage the PVD coating on the Platinum and 18K Gold Ridge Curb Chain and Ridge Curb Bracelet and may cause discoloration or surface degradation on all finishes.

Nickel Disclosure: The Platinum and 18K Gold Ridge Curb Chain and Ridge Curb Bracelet are made from 316L medical-grade stainless steel, which contains nickel as part of its alloy composition. The nickel in 316L stainless steel is tightly bonded within the metal's structure and has a very low release rate, making it safe for the vast majority of people, including those with mild sensitivities. Individuals with known or severe nickel allergies should choose the Ridge Curb Chain or Ridge Curb Bracelet in Titanium or consult a physician before wearing Platinum or 18K Gold. The Titanium Ridge Curb Chain and Ridge Curb Bracelet are nickel-free.

Skin Sensitivity: While rare, some individuals may experience sensitivity to other metal components. Individuals with skin conditions, swelling, lymphedema, or post-surgical sensitivity affecting the neck or wrist should consult a physician before wearing. Discontinue use and seek medical advice if redness, itching, swelling, or other signs of skin irritation develop.

Storage Safety: Ensure the Ridge Travel Case latch is fully secured when not in use to prevent accidental opening and loss of contents. Keep the case out of reach of children and vulnerable persons. Periodically inspect the Ridge Travel Case foam insert for signs of deterioration or breakage. Degraded foam can produce small particles that may pose a hazard or irritate skin. Remove and discard the insert if it shows significant wear.

Disposal: Do not dispose of your Ridge Curb Chain or Ridge Curb Bracelet in household trash. Take unwanted or end-of-life pieces to a local jeweler or metal recycler for responsible disposal. Titanium and stainless steel are recyclable materials.

Maintenance & Storage

General Cleaning: Clean your Ridge Curb Chain or Ridge Curb Bracelet regularly using mild soap and warm water. Apply with a soft cloth or soft-bristle brush, gently working the solution into the links and around the clasp. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and dry immediately and completely with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not leave your chain or bracelet to air dry, as water spots may form. For deeper cleaning, use a jewelry-safe solution or ultrasonic cleaner appropriate for the finish of your Ridge Curb Chain or Ridge Curb Bracelet.

PVD Coating Care (Platinum and 18K Gold): The PVD coating on the Platinum and 18K Gold Ridge Curb Chain and Ridge Curb Bracelet is durable but requires specific care to maintain its appearance. Do not use jewelry polish, abrasive polishing cloths, or harsh chemical cleaners on PVD-coated pieces, as these can strip or dull the coating. Avoid prolonged exposure to chlorinated water, saltwater, household cleaners, personal care products, and excessive sweat. If contact occurs, rinse and dry immediately. Use caution with ultrasonic cleaners and ensure any cleaning solution used is non-abrasive and safe for PVD-coated jewelry.

Titanium Care: Titanium is naturally corrosion-resistant, tarnish-proof, and low-maintenance. It is not susceptible to tarnishing or corrosion from everyday exposure to water, sweat, or personal care products. Clean with mild soap, warm water, and a soft cloth or brush. Avoid hot water and abrasive cleaners. The Titanium Ridge Curb Chain and Ridge Curb Bracelet are safe for use in an ultrasonic cleaner.

Scratches and Surface Wear: While the PVD coating on Platinum and 18K Gold Ridge Curb Chain and Ridge Curb Bracelet provides scratch resistance, it is not scratch-proof. Normal wear and tear may result in light surface scratches over time. The polished edges on all finishes are more likely to show scratches than the brushed top surface due to the nature of the finish. The Titanium Ridge Curb Chain and Ridge Curb Bracelet are highly scratch-resistant but not immune to surface marks under impact. Avoid contact with abrasive surfaces and store separately from other jewelry to minimize scratching.

Chain and Clasp Maintenance: Use the included Cleaning/Polish Cloth for quick touch-ups between cleanings to remove fingerprints, oils, and light surface buildup on the Ridge Curb Chain or Ridge Curb Bracelet. Clean around the Ridge Secure Clasp regularly to remove any buildup of oils, soap residue, or debris that may affect its function.

Drying and Storage: Always ensure your Ridge Curb Chain or Ridge Curb Bracelet is completely dry before placing it in the Ridge Travel Case. Storing damp jewelry in a sealed case may promote moisture buildup and skin irritation. Dry thoroughly after cleaning to prevent moisture from accumulating in the clasp opening. Store separately from other jewelry to prevent scratching. Keep the case in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and high humidity.

Ridge Travel Case Maintenance: Periodically inspect the Ridge Travel Case and its foam insert for signs of wear, deterioration, or damage. If cleaning is needed, remove the foam insert and wash the case with mild soap and warm water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these may damage the case. Do not wash the foam insert, as it may absorb water, lose its shape, or develop mildew if not dried fully. If the foam insert shows significant deterioration, remove and discard it. Allow the case to dry fully before reassembling.
