Q: The Ridge Tracker Card won't turn back on.
- Place the Ridge Tracker Card face-down on a wireless charger, aligning the charging symbol with the center of the charging pad. A beep confirms charging has started.
- Wait for the LED to turn green, indicating the Ridge Tracker Card is fully charged
- Press the button once. If there is no beep, continue charging and retry.
Q: The Ridge Tracker Card won't turn off.
- Hold the button continuously. Letting go before the third beep will cancel the sequence.
- If the battery is very low, place the Ridge Tracker Card on a wireless charger for at least 10 minutes, then try again
- If the issue persists, perform a reset
Q: Why is the location not updating or showing an old location? The Ridge Tracker Card does not use real-time GPS. Instead, it relies on Bluetooth to connect to nearby compatible devices, which then relay its location through the tracking network. If no compatible devices are nearby, the location may not update. To help reconnect:
- Verify Bluetooth and Location Services are enabled in your device settings
- Make sure your tracking app is allowed to run in the background in your phone's settings
- Refresh your tracking app
- Move to an area with more nearby compatible devices to help Bluetooth reconnect
Q: My tracking app is showing "No Location Found." This means the Ridge Tracker Card's location cannot currently be determined. The most common causes are:
- The Ridge Tracker Card is out of Bluetooth range (over 300 feet)
- No nearby compatible devices have detected the Ridge Tracker Card recently
- The Ridge Tracker Card is powered off, has a dead battery, or is physically blocked
Q: The Ridge Tracker Card is showing as offline. The Ridge Tracker Card may show as offline if Bluetooth or internet connectivity is interrupted. Check that Bluetooth and Location Services are enabled on your paired device and that your tracking app is running in the background. If everything looks correct, allow a few minutes for the network to refresh.
Q: Why can't I make the Ridge Tracker Card play a sound from the app? This happens when the Ridge Tracker Card is out of Bluetooth range (over 300 feet away), is offline, powered off, or has a dead battery, or when Bluetooth or Location Services are turned off on your phone.
Q: Can someone else track me with my Ridge Tracker Card? This is extremely unlikely. Compatible tracking networks include built-in anti-stalking protections that detect, alert, and help prevent unauthorized tracking. If an unknown tracker appears to be traveling with you, your smartphone will notify you with an alert. You can then use your tracking app to locate and disable the unknown tracker, or follow the on-screen instructions to take further action.
Q: What should I do if I find an unknown tracker I don't recognize? If you receive an unknown tracker alert on your smartphone, follow the on-screen instructions to locate, identify, and if needed, disable the tracker. If you feel unsafe, go to a public location and contact local law enforcement.
Q: If someone finds my Ridge Tracker Card, can they reset it? Anyone who finds the Ridge Tracker Card cannot reset or use it. The Ridge Tracker Card remains locked to your account until you remove it yourself. Only you can transfer ownership to someone else.
Q: Can I pair the Ridge Tracker Card with more than one account? Each Ridge Tracker Card can only be linked to one account at a time, which is a built-in security feature of the tracking network. To transfer ownership, remove the Ridge Tracker Card from your current account first, then the new user can add it to their account.
Q: Can I share the Ridge Tracker Card with other people? Yes, you can share tracking access with other people through your tracking app's sharing feature. While the Ridge Tracker Card can only be linked to one account (the owner), you can share location tracking with up to five trusted contacts. This allows other people to see the Ridge Tracker Card's location and receive notifications, even though they cannot modify settings or remove the Ridge Tracker Card from your account.
Q: How will I know when the Ridge Tracker Card battery is low? Your tracking app will notify you when the Ridge Tracker Card's battery is running low. This should give you time to recharge the Ridge Tracker Card before it powers off.
Q: Does the Ridge Tracker Card work inside my Ridge Wallet? Yes, the Ridge Tracker Card is designed to work inside Ridge Wallets. The RFID-blocking plates only block the frequencies used by credit cards and contactless payments, not Bluetooth. Since the Ridge Tracker Card uses Bluetooth, tracking is not affected by the shielding. For best performance, you can place the Ridge Tracker Card under your Cash Strap/Money Clip. In open areas the Ridge Tracker Card can reach up to 300 feet (90 meters); inside a Ridge Wallet, the range may vary.
Q: Can I use the Ridge Tracker Card internationally? Yes, the Ridge Tracker Card works anywhere in the world. Because it relies on a global network of compatible devices to relay its location, the Ridge Tracker Card can update its location as long as compatible devices are present nearby. This means tracking works even when you are traveling overseas.
